Today is my very own Mother's birthday. I will spend the entire day thinking about her. I am truly blessed beyond words. I know that we all know what a great lady she is. Please tolerate an entry about my feelings for her. I will be brief.
I know that we are all children of God. I know that we each are great in his sight. I know that we each have a contribution to give while here. But I believe she is one of those few souls saved for very particular purposes. I am so blessed that her purposes include me.
I believe she is one of the noblest and greatest souls that have ever lived on this earth. From the time she was a small child she was unusual. She loved the sacred and divine from the very beginning of this mortality. Throughout her life she has lived with an unusual approach. She seeks out the divine.
Further, she is key to so many of us in and out of the family. She teaches us truths. Even now in my adult years she adds perspective and depth to truths. I dearly love to talk to her . I also know she talks to many others so I know I am not alone in my love to talk to her.
Lastly, She personifies charity. "Charity suffereth long, and is kind, ... thinketh no evil, and rejoiceth not in iniquity but rejoiceth in the truth, beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things...charity never faileth...Is the greatest of all." Moroni 7
I am so grateful for her example in my life. I am so grateful for such a friend as her. I am so grateful for the love we share. Happy Birthday Momma Dear, you bless my life each year. I love you dearly.

What a beautiful tribute to Enid Lee Davis! Thank you Missy for documenting your thoughts about her!
We all feel so grateful for her influence in our lives! How we love her! She is angelic! She reminds me of this quote:
"...we are reminded that not all angels are from the other side of the veil. Some of them we walk with and talk with -- here , now, every day. ......Indeed heaven never seems closer than when we see the love of God manifested in the kindness and devotion of people so good and so pure that angelic is the only word that comes to mind."
