Thanksgiving 2008

The drive to and from Idaho is done. The food has been made, eat, thrown away. The memories remain!!!

First of all, the annual "I won Thanksgiving" competition between me and my loser nephew Weston. Well he tries every year to beat me and to date has only won once. I let him will that time. Remember this is my blog and thus my perspective too. Sorry no pictures for the eating fest. I do think I will always remember Cecil's comments during dinner. I think I haven't laughed that hard in a very long time.

Second we started a new competition...hola hoop competition. The winner is dubbed "Hoop there it is!" I know we are lame but really it was Cecil's idea. Again my blog so I can throw anyone under the bus.

Here is the video of the photos from the competition. A shout out goes to Z. He was the winner!!! I am very proud of him.

Third, I got to go 4-wheelin up at Bone. Cecil ROCKS!!!! We had a blast. the entire time I was up there I kept thinking about Braxton. He loves that property. Someday soon we will go again with him. I will kick his trash then too.

Lastly, Z was baptized. I was so glad to be able to attend. He was so sober. I was very proud of him. The meeting was very nice. Marion and my momma spoke. The spirit was strong. It was a great meeting to attend. Here is a picture of Z before he is baptized.

OH! I wish I could have been there. I so would have taken Z down in the hola hooping contest.

IN EXACTLY A MONTH TODAY I GET A SISTER!!! (it's really their day, but it's my day too)

Sounds like you had a fabulous time. Of course, when you're the life of the party, it's hard to be lame.

I am glad to hear that Weston was humbled yet again but deeply saddened that I missed two historic family events. Z’s baptism and the inaugural “hoop there it is” competition. Oh well…
