I Pee'd my Pants!

Yes you heard that correctly. Sorry if this scares any of you.

Tuesday I had the left hand operated on for carpal tunnel. It was a smashing success. HOWEVER, I did have one problem. Yes you guessed it from the title of this entry. I did pee my pants. Let me explain.

Each time I have surgery they ask me to bring in a urine sample. They want to confirm I am not pregnant. I tell them it is not possible but they have their procedures. Each time I bring the sample in a zip lock bag.

I had just got home from a trip late the night before and I had not unpacked my "purse". So I grabbed another one. I threw the wallet, phone and ziplock bag into the 2nd purse and out the door I went.

I was sitting in the lobby waiting for them to call my name when I felt something wet all over my lap. I had the purse sitting there. I realized immediately that the ziplock must not have locked. Sure enough I looked inside to discover the zip wasn't completely zipped. LUCKY ME!

Well the nurse called me in and asked me how I was doing. I told her I had just pee'd my pants. She consoled me and explained that sometimes surgery is stressful. She told me not to worry. Then I told her the story. She laughed so hard she told everyone we encountered. I was the hit of the surgical center that day.

Now you know the rest of the story. My I think I am so funny!!!
